Child Safety Gates

Our client had recently purchased a
new home and needed child safety
gates on two staircases.  Commercially
available gates did not blend with the
existing architecture and were difficult
to install without damaging the
existing rail.  We were asked to
design,build and install safety gates
that looked as if they belonged in the
setting.  Made from maple, pine and
hemlock.
This project took approximately three
weeks at a cost of $1500.
Built in Bar
Our client wanted a bar and wall
cabinets for her newly finished
basement.  She had a photo of a style
she liked, so we designed her bar and
cabinets to suit her space.
The units were constructed from oak
plywood, with solid oak surfaces and
trim.  The wall cabinets have internal
lighting, and glass shelves.
A two-level bottle shelf sits in front of
the pre-existing window with a goblet
rack above.  The bar top is solid oak
with a durable, high gloss
polyurethane finish.  All the materials
were cut to finished size in our shop
and assembled on site.
The ten foot long bar and four twenty
inch wall cabinets were designed, built,
installed and finished on site in
approximately four weeks.
Gliding Horses
Our client asked that we design and
build a pair of gliding horses for twin
boys.  The horses can be set up
attached to one another, side by side,
or separately.  Fashioned from oak
with leather saddles and bridles and
brass fittings.
This project took approximately two
months at a cost of $2500
($1500 for one horse)
Our client needed a custom designed
cabinet to hang in an entertainment
area.  This cabinet measures 64" in
width and was designed to match
existing furnishings in the home.  It
features adjustable shelves and
hide-away doors on three sections.
Constructed from birch plywood and
pine.
This project took approximately four
weeks at a cost of $1200.

Book Display
Our client needed a way to display and
protect a prized possession, a signed
copy of Sandra Day O'Conner's book.
Made from oak and acrylic.
This project took approximately one
week at a cost of $300.
Step Stools
Our client wanted two personalized
step stools for twins.  Each stool has a
removable top step.  The child's name
is carved into the first step and the
following poem carved on the front
panel:
This little stool is mine,
I use it all the time,
To reach the things I couldn't,
And lots of things I shouldn't.
Made from oak.
This project took approximately two
weeks at a cost of $250.
